A NIGHT OF CHRISTMAS CHEER AT DRUMLANRIG 3rd DECEMBER Multi award winning folk singer Emily Smith will be performing festive melodies from her latest album ‘Songs for Christmas’ in the stunning surroundings of Drumlanrig Castle.

Dawyck Botanic Garden Dawyck is truly one of the world’s finest arboreta. Seasonal displays of abundant exotic and native plants provide a breathtaking backdrop of colour throughout the year. The Garden also offers an award-winning visitor centre. (Closed from 30th November until the 1st February).

FREE CHRISTMAS OPENING AT TRAQUAIR HOUSE 25th November 10.30 until 4pm. A wonderful weekend of Christmas cheer at our FREE opening. With the house decorated in a Victorian Christmas style and craft stalls throughout the house this is a weekend for all ages. Local choirs and the Silver band will perform in the courtyard and chapel. Santa’s luxurious grotto in the house. Puppet shows,  Mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and home cooked lunches and teas in the 1745 Cottage Restaurant. Also FATHER CHRISTMAS BOOKINGS

BIGGAR HOGMANAY BONFIRE will be lit at 9.30pm on 31st December 2017
