The Royal Highland Show, Ingliston 21st – 24th June 2018.   Celebrating its 178th year, The Royal Highland Show is one of Scotland’s most iconic events, showcasing the very best of farming food and rural life. A great day out for everyone of all ages, get up close to the country’s top quality livestock, taste exceptional food & drink and experience rural living at its most vibrant.

GALLOWAY COUNTRY FAIR  Drumlanrig Castle 18th & 19th August 2018.  An annual two-day event, the Fair brings together food and drink, country sports, entertainment, children’s activities and much, much more. It’d a true celebration of everything that countryside living has to offer with something for all ages to enjoy.

DRUMLANRIG CASTLE –  If you like delving deep into history, soaking up the finest culture, exploring beautiful countryside – or adrenaline-fuelled mountain biking – you’ll love a day at Drumlanrig Castle. From activities for kids to salmon fishing, you’ll find a raft of activity awaiting you. The Castle has 120 rooms, 17 turrets and four towers and from your very first glance you’ll know you’re entering a special place. Special enough, in fact, that the producers of Outlander recently used the Castle for filming their second series!

Dawyck Botanic Garden Dawyck is truly one of the world’s finest arboreta. Seasonal displays of abundant exotic and native plants provide a breathtaking backdrop of colour throughout the year. The Garden also offers an award-winning visitor centre. (Closed from 30th November until the 1st February).
